Jornalismo online e os comentários dos leitores: interatividade, moderação e deliberação na mídia G1

Abstract

O objetivo central deste estudo foi investigar e analisar o conteúdo dos comentários dos leitores do site de notícias G1. O corpus foi feito em dez matérias da seção Policial, observado um número pré-determinado de comentários de personagens reais e fictícios, a interatividade praticada por eles tanto com o site como entre si e as chances de que comentários on-line possam ser potenciais participantes de uma esfera pública virtual. A metodologia aplicada se baseou em um modo indutivo, segundo as teorias de análise de conteúdo de Laurence Bardin e Mariette Bengtsson, e teve como objetivo investigar a hipótese de deliberação democrática nas narrativas presentes nos comentários dos leitores da mídia jornalismo on-line, buscando enriquecer o acervo de investigações sobre o tema. Os resultados demonstraram a apresentação dos comentaristas feita, maciçamente, na forma de anonimato, com baixo índice de interatividade e discurso eminentemente emocional, caracterizando poucas chances de participação em uma esfera pública virtual como elemento virtuoso para o debate deliberativo. Não obstante as conclusões alcançadas, entende-se que as formas de apresentação dos comentaristas, bem como o conteúdo analisado, demonstram a dinâmica da motivação, engajamento e interatividade de um público ávido por participar do debate político no meio digital. Nesse sentido tem-se como imperativa a continuidade das pesquisas sobre o jornalismo on-line, o cidadão politicamente ativo na Internet e a problematização das questões econômicas, sociais e políticas que envolvem a comunicação digital e o jornalismo participativo

The main objective of this study was to investigate and analyze the content of the comments of readers of the G1 news site. The corpus was made up of ten articles in the Police section, observing a predetermined number of comments from real and fictional characters, the interactivity they practice both with the website and with each other and the chances that online comments may be potential participants of a virtual public sphere. The applied methodology was based on an inductive mode, according to the theories of content analysis by Laurence Bardin and Mariette Bengtsson, and aimed to investigate the hypothesis of democratic deliberation in the narratives present in the comments of the readers of online media journalism, seeking the enrichment of the collection of investigations on the topic. The results demonstrated the presentation of the commentators made, massively, in the form of anonymity, with low index of interactivity and eminently emotional speech, characterizing little chances of participation in a virtual public sphere as a virtuous element for the deliberative debate. Despite the conclusions reached, it is understood that the commentators' presentation forms, as well as the analyzed content, demonstrate the dynamics of motivation, engagement and interactivity of an audience eager to participate in the political debate in the digital environment. In this sense, it is imperative to continue research on online journalism, the politically active citizen on the Internet and to problematize the economic, social and political issues that involve digital communication and participatory journalism.
