Resumo(s)
We applied the SEM-PLS method to study continuance use of the Internet of Things (IoT) by 307 Southern European users. Our investigation combines the expectation-confirmation theory (ECT) with the multi-motive information systems continuance (MISC) model and appends perceived autonomy, instant connectivity, and ubiquitous connection. Our findings suggest that satisfaction, confirmation of expectations, and attitude, along with their common antecedent perceived performance, support IoT continuance intention. We show that confirmation and attitude mediate the link between perceived performance and IoT continuance intention, and attitude moderates the relationships between satisfaction and IoT continuance intention, and the confirmation and IoT continuance intention.
