Neste artigo nosso objetivo central é investigar como as leitoras das plataformas digitais Delas e Universa, dirigidas às audiências femininas em Portugal e no Brasil, são informadas sobre a pandemia do novo coronavírus e como, a partir destas coberturas jornalísticas, as mulheres são construídas discursivamente. Para tal, realizamos o estudo exploratório em notícias publicadas sobre este assunto durante o mês de março de 2020, período que marca o início das políticas de isolamento social nos dois países. Adotamos como procedimento metodológico a realização de análise temática (BRAUN E CLARKE, 2006), seguida da Análise Crítica do Discurso dos critérios de noticiabilidade (BEDNAREK E CAPLE, 2014) adotados pelas plataformas. Concluímos com a discussão de como estes media promovem a aniquilação simbólica das mulheres (TUCHMAN, 2009) num contexto em que a informação é importante instrumento de saúde pública. In this article, our main objective is to investigate how the readers of the digital platforms Delas and Universa, aimed at female audiences in Portugal and Brazil, are informed about the pandemic of the new coronavirus and how, from these journalistic coverage, women are constructed discursively. To this end, we carried out the exploratory study in news published on this subject during the month of March 2020, a period that marks the beginning of social isolation policies in both countries. We adopted thematic Analysis as a methodological procedure (BRAUN AND CLARKE, 2006), followed by the Critical Discourse Analysis of the news criteria (BEDNAREK AND CAPLE, 2014) adopted by the platforms. We conclude with a discussion of how these media promote the symbolic annihilation of women (TUCHMAN, 2009) in a context in which that information is an important public health instrument.
