dc.description.abstractOs conflitos ocorridos no Médio Oriente e Norte de África provocaram a fuga, em número fora do comum, de pessoas com rumo à Europa no ano de 2015. Este fenómeno, que ganhou uma visibilidade acrescida nos media europeus, criou um conjunto de procedimentos e sentimentos antagónicos em relação aos refugiados: solidariedade e humanitarismo por um lado, hostilidade e incompatibilidade por outro. O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar as representações sociais em comentários proferidos num conjunto de notícias acerca da chegada de um grupo de refugiados a Lisboa, partilhadas na rede social do Facebook, por alguns media portugueses. Os resultados indicam que, apesar da manifestação pública de solidariedade com que Portugal é associado, assim como manifestações de solidariedade nas redes sociais dos media, subsiste uma hostilidade em relação aos refugiados, atribuindo-lhe determinados comportamentos com base em interpretações simplistas e estereotipadas. The latest conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa have caused the flight of an unusual number of people heading for Europe. This phenomenon, which was reported in the European media several times, created a set of antagonistic feelings towards refugees, solidarity, and humanitarianism, on the one hand, hostility on the other. This research aims to investigate the social representations in comments made in a set of news about the arrival of refugees in Lisbon, shared on the Facebook social network by some Portuguese media. The results indicate that, despite the public expression of solidarity with which Portugal is associated, there remains in the context of the social network under analysis, a hostility towards refugees, attributing certain behaviors based on simplistic interpretations with some stereotypes.en
