Resumo(s)
In the Field Lab Building Companies Based on Science, students are challenged to develop a business plan based on recent scientific breakthroughs. This report presents Oxalynx, a climate-tech start up based on the Carbon Catch Air bioreactor (an invention from ITQB NOVA) that captures CO₂, converting it into oxaloacetate, a valuable industrial feedstock. By bridging carbon capture and bio-based production, Oxalynx offers a decentralized, low-energy, and scalable alternative to storage-based models. Its dual-revenue model combines CarbonCapture-as-a-Service and Oxaloacetate Valorization, evolving into biofuel production. Aligned with global climate goals, Oxalynx addresses the need for accessible carbon removal while unlocking value chains across the bioeconomy.
