| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório procura relatar e analisar o estágio curricular, que se insere na componente não letiva do Mestrado em Tradução, com especialização em Inglês, realizado na empresa de tradução, Multilingual Europe. O relatório de estágio tem como objetivos, por um lado, evidenciar a dimensão pragmática da tradução jurídica, por outro, analisar a prática de tradução realizada durante o estágio, procurando utilizar e aprofundar os conhecimentos e métodos adquiridos na componente letiva do mestrado e evidenciar as novas competências desenvolvidas, relativamente à prática de tradução. Para tal, visa abordar algumas noções sobre a tradução técnica, a tradução jurídica e a pragmática, procurando demonstrar a relação existente entre as mesmas e sustentar teoricamente o trabalho prático realizado durante o estágio. Pretende também refletir sobre a prática de tradução num ambiente profissional, nomeadamente, expor os métodos de trabalho utilizados, a gestão de projetos e o contacto com o mercado de trabalho, no que diz respeito aos clientes e às suas exigências, ao tipo de traduções mais requisitadas e aos seus prazos. Esta análise permite a aplicação e articulação das metodologias e dos conhecimentos assimilados durante a primeira parte do mestrado, com a prática de tradução. Por fim, o relatório procura ilustrar algumas das principais dificuldades encontradas ao longo do estágio, tendo em conta a tradução de textos jurídicos, e o processo de tentativa de resolução das mesmas, assim como as suas potenciais consequências pragmáticas, incluindo de que forma esta experiência contribuiu para a evolução e instrução da estagiária. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This report aims to describe and analyze the work done throughout the curricular internship, which occurred in the second half of the master’s degree in Translation, with specialization in English, which took place in the translation company Multilingual Europe. Its goals are, on the one hand, to highlight the pragmatic dimension of legal translation, and on the other hand, to describe the translation activities carried out, while seeking to make use of and deepen the knowledge and methods learned in the first half of the master’s degree. Additionally, it seeks to show how the new skills previously acquired relate to the practice of technical, legal, and pragmatic translation, aiming, at last, to find a relation between them, as a way to contextualize the work carried out during the internship. It also aims to reflect on the practice of translation in a professional context, namely, with respect to the work methodologies used, the project management and the contact with the labour market, the clients and their demands, the kinds of translation with the highest demand, and their deadlines. Thus, it allows for the articulation of the knowledge and different approaches learned in the course with the practice of translation. Finally, it aims to take a deeper look at some of the projects done during the internship and how they served to illustrate the biggest difficulties encountered in this area, the process of trying to find solutions to those problems and its possible pragmatic consequences, including how this experience contributed to the intern’s training and evolution. | pt_PT |
