This thesis examines the financial and operational performance of traditional automakers versus pure-play EV manufacturers amid the automotive industry's shift to electrification. Using advanced benchmarking and econometric analysis, it highlights key differences in growth, profitability, and macroeconomic sensitivities. Findings reveal EV firms’ superior innovation capacity but higher volatility, contrasted with traditional OEMs' operational resilience. The study also uncovers electrification’s impact on value chains and capital structures, offering actionable insights for navigating industry transformation.
