| dc.description.abstract | This study explores how auditors experience the recovery phase following the busy season and examines the extent to which this period restores well-being, job satisfaction, and life satisfaction. Based on 13 qualitative interviews with auditors from Big Four and mid-sized firms, the findings show that the off-season provides essential relief, allowing auditors to regain energy, balance, and motivation. While life satisfaction increases noticeably during this period, job satisfaction remains relatively stable due to acceptance of the profession’s seasonality. However, recovery effects are temporary, highlighting the need for continuous resource management and supportive organizational structures throughout the audit cycle. | eng |
