Resumo(s)
The aim of this work is to verify whether the institutional frameworks are
responsible for any changes in the demand for abortion across Europe. To obtain this
purpose and quantify the impact of changes, a panel data analysis, with statistics from
23 European countries, is performed and we conclude that changes in either the abortion
laws by social reasons or abortion on demand have statistical significant coefficients. As
in any demand function the analysis of the price, disposable income and substitute
goods is also object of consideration.
