Nos dias de hoje as organizações têm de ser mais eficientes e competitivas que
no passado para não serem facilmente ultrapassadas pela concorrência. A Logística
que há duas décadas atrás praticamente passava despercebida tem hoje um papel
determinante no sucesso ou insucesso das organizações, sendo que dentro do mundo
da logística temos que destacar o papel que as plataformas logísticas desempenham.
Visto as plataformas logísticas terem um papel muito importante na logística
este trabalho de investigação pretende analisar uma parte vital do funcionamento das
mesmas. A análise da importância das acessibilidades nas plataformas logísticas vai ser
então o objecto do nosso estudo.
Para a execução deste trabalho foi escolhido uma plataforma logística especifica
o Porto de Sines, onde vai ser efectuada uma análise as acessibilidades existentes para
se perceber quais as suas limitações neste campo para que no futuro possam vir a ser
corrigidas dotando assim o porto de maior competitividade perante os seus
concorrentes. Devido a grande quantidade de informação e dados existentes na nossa
análise vamos recorrer a uma valiosa ferramenta para a resolução deste tipo de
análises que são os Sistemas de Informação Geográficos (SIG), mais concretamente
vamos utilizar a extensão do ArcGIS Network Analyst.
Nowadays, organizations have to be more efficient and competitive, to avoid being overpass by their competitors. Logistics that was unnoticed on the last two decades today has a determinant role on the success or failure on the organizations. In Logistics World, we have to detach the performance role of Logistics Platforms. Has previously mentioned, Logistics Platforms have a very important role in Logistics. This investigation document, intends to analyze a vital part of the operations running. The importance analysis of the accessibility on the Logistics Platforms is going to be the goal of our study exercise. For the execution of this document, was chosen a specific Logistic Platform in Porto de Sines, where will be performed an analysis to the existence accessibilities, to understand the limitations of this field, and the corrective actions to equip in the future the port with more competitively, against the direct competitors. Due to a huge quantity of information and data, on our analysis we will appeal to a valuable tool to solve this type of analysis, known as “SIG – Sistemas de Informação Geográficos” (Geographic Information Systems), specifically we will use an upgrade of ArcGIs Network Analyst.
