Esta investigação pretende estudar a produção e receção de humor, no contexto da prática de stand up comedy. A investigação é em Portugal (Lisboa), através de uma abordagem etnográfica, articulando diferentes procedimentos metodológicos como o documental, a observação participante, participação e o estudo de caso. O foco é o enquadramento cronológico do formato de comédia stand-up em Portugal; a descrição dos espaços e perfil dos comediantes; a discussão das motivações, percursos, modos de fazer, processo criativo e performance; e as reações do público. Essas dimensões de análise são articuladas na discussão teórica do humor como subversão e como relação e da performance de stand-up como ritual.
This research aims to study the production and reception of humour, in the context of stand-up comedy practice. The research is in Portugal (Lisbon), through an ethnographic approach, articulating different methodological procedures such as documentary, participant observation, participation and case study. The focus is the chronological framework of the stand-up comedy format in Portugal; the description of the spaces and profile of the comedians; the discussion of motivations, paths, ways of doing things, creative process and performance; and public reactions. These dimensions of analysis are articulated in the theoretical discussion of humour as subversion and as a relationship and of stand-up performance as a ritual.
