This research aims to enhance the comprehension of the people and technical dimensions influencing the success of agile project development focusing on the factor “artificial intelligence (AI) solutions”. AI solutions comprise AI assistants, AI tools, AI algorithms, AI project management tools and any other solution designed to improve performance in agile software development projects. The research relied on a questionnaire-based survey conducted in Portugal, with 132 valid responses. Our findings supported the already proven direct effect of team capability and delivery strategy on agile software development project success. Delivery strategy significantly affects customer involvement and agile software techniques positively impact team capability.
