This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of social media platforms safety defaults for Portuguese teenagers, by understanding through a platforms analysis which safety features are already available, and their effectiveness through two surveys, relying on 104 responses of teens and 118 responses of parents or legal guardians. Results show a gap between safety features availability and their real use and awareness by teens.
