Resumo(s)
O autor, depois de esboçar o panorama das endemias de Angola, sustenta a tese de que a profilaxia constitui a base de beneficiação sanitária, criando, como sistema de rotina, uma situação de bem-estar físico para o Homem e condicionando a prosperidade económica da Terra. Entretanto, opina que as premissas duma séria profilaxia, conducente à higienização dos meios, tanto rurais como urbanos, hão-de se apoiar, no informe técnico, activo que só um organismo local, vazado, aproximadamente, nos moldes do lnstitute for Medical Researches, da União Sul Africana, pode fornecer.
Se esse agente orientador, encarregado do estudo do agente morbigénio, in loco, já surpreendendo-lhe o pendor biológico, já descobrindo a ambiência favorável à sua evolução, não há maneira de equacionar e resolver os problemas sanitários de Angola, com a largueza e a profundidade, que o momento de renovação impõe.
Conclui por fazer um esquiço duma instituição desta natureza.
The author gives a report on the endemies in Angola and afflrms that the prophylaxis constitutes the base of its sanitary improvement. Its is the welfare of man and the economical progress of the territory. He thinks that the earnest prophylatic measures for the hygiene of the countries as well as of the cities could be effective only if they are directed by a regional institution similar to the Institute for Medical Research in South Africa. Without the orientation of such an institution that care for the study of the morbid agents in loco, for heir biological preferences and for their preferred breeding places the sanitary problems in Angola cannot be resolved as they should be resolved. The author concludes his paper by giving a sketch of an institution1 of this nature.
