The study focuses on business model development and explores the challenges and opportunities of reconciling sustainability and profitability. Data was collected through interviews and literature review and analyzed to assess potential impact of a circular economy on business models and profitability. The findings suggest that implementing a circular economy presents challenges but also offers significant business opportunities to support sustainability. The study concludes that achieving a balance between profitability and sustainability may require sacrifices to realize the benefits of a circular economy fully.engSharing economyCollaborative consumptionAccess-based consumptionProduct- service-systemsCircular economyBusiness model innovationIndustrial sustainabilityEco innovationIndustrial ecologySustainable value creationCircular business modelsFurniture-as-a-service - the balance between profitablility and sustainablilitymaster thesis203515196
