Since the incorporation of AI is an irreversible trend for the future of work, it is important to make a correlation between chat GPT and the future of work because, as technology advances, we can expect collaboration between humans and machines to continue to evolve and open new possibilities. We expected to understand the determinants that lead to the adoption of chat GPT and how this research can help us understand the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs in the future, the implications, and benefits of using it, and what leads people to adopt this AI. This research uses quantitative methods where we will collect data from 308 individuals to test the research model. The data will be analyzed using structured equation modeling (SEM). The combination of the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the hedonic motivation system adoption model (HMSAM) can provide a comprehensive framework for understanding the most relevant factor leading to chat GPT adoption. Based on the survey results, it can be concluded that user attitude is the primary factor influencing the adoption of chat GPT. Additionally, hedonic motivations play a significant role in the acceptance of the technology, with joy identified as the second most relevant contributing factor.engArtificial intelligence (AI)Chat GPTAdoptionFuture of workTechnology acceptance model (TAM)Hedonic-motivation system adoption model (HMSAM)SDG 8 - Decent work and economic growthSDG 9 - Industry, innovation and infrastructureValue and Impact of chat GPT and the Future of Workmaster thesis203776127
