Using rich matched employer-employee longitudinal data it accounts for heterogeneous effects with respect to the nationality of the immigrants and gender of natives. The main result, in line with previous evidence, shows that natives are positively affected by the presence of immigrants in the same firm, firm-job title or industry-region, irrespectively of natives’ gender. Nevertheless, male natives seem to be negatively affected by the presence of immigrants coming from EU15 countries, suggesting substitutability between the two groups in the production process.engInternational migrationEmploymentEuropePanel dataWhat is the relationship between changes in natives´ and immigrants´ employment?
