Results: Through satisfaction, the effect of doctors, perceived waiting time for triage, information about possible delays in receiving treatment or waiting times, and meeting expectations lead to confidence/trust in the ED by 66%, 61%, 61%, and 61% of the variation, while through perceived quality of healthcare (PQHC), the effect of privacy, doctors, accessibility and availability, perceived waiting time to be called back by the doctor after the examinations and/or tests, and meeting expectations lead to confidence/trust in the ED by 64%, 64%, 65%, 63%, and 65% of the variation, with statistically significant results (p < 0.01).1203832engSDG 3 - Good Health and Well-beingThe role of confidence/trust in the emergency departmentjournal article10.1186/s13104-025-07266-4
