While prior research shows that empathy can be trained, existing publications are focused mostly on healthcare settings. This quasi-experimental study examines whether empathy training can enhance emotional intelligence (EI) and crisis leadership abilities among business school students through a 90-minute face-to-face training. Although no significant impact on the respective constructs was found, participants demonstrated strong knowledge retention and high satisfaction with the intervention.
