However, although in Cape Verde this sector is no stranger to difficult times, the COVID-19 crisis was different. This part of the project focus in understating how the restrictions implemented in the country affected the stakeholders of the sector. Using the qualitative data collected during our field trip, we seek to understand the impact of the pandemic on MFIs and microcredit beneficiaries, and the institutional response to the crisis of all stakeholders. We also address the current key challenges for MFIs and microcredit beneficiaries.
