As an important shipping region, the Baltic Sea is at the forefront of that policy implementation. Ports, as key industry players, are facilitating the industry shift through the adoption of sustainability practices in conjunction with their stakeholders. Hence, this paper analyzes the role key stakeholders of ports are playing for port sustainability in the Baltic Sea. Interview analysis with port authorities yielded two predominant themes for stakeholder engagement in sustainability practices confirming existing literature findings on stakeholder saliency in multi-stakeholder networks.engStakeholder theoryStakeholder saliencePort sustainabilityPublic policyCEMS MIMWhat role are key stakeholders of ports playing in the adoption of sustainability practices in the baltic seamaster thesis203232054
