Objetivo: Identificar os domínios e categorias da CIF mais referidos para classificar a população com as características dos utentes da RNCCI. Metodologia: Pesquisa efetuada através da EBSCO na CINAHL Plus with Full Text e MEDLINE with Full Text. Pesquisaram-se artigos científicos publicados em texto integral (março 2012) entre 2000/01/01 e 2012/03/31, utilizando o método de PI[C]O. Foram selecionados 15 artigos do total de 23 encontrados. Resultados: Foram identificadas 248 categorias que caracterizam a funcionalidade da população com as características dos utentes da RNCCI. Verificou-se que destas, 86 têm uma frequência de descrição igual ou superior a 50% e encontram-se divididas pelas 4 componentes da CIF. Conclusões: As categorias identificadas estão distribuídas da seguinte forma: 26 categorias da componente Funções do Corpo (32,56%) em 15 artigos; 5 categorias da componente Estruturas do Corpo (5,81%) em 13 artigos; 35 categorias da componente Atividades e Participação (40,70%) em 15 artigos; 18 categorias da componente Fatores Ambientais (20,93%) em 14 artigos.
