Os produtores apostaram na inovação para melhorarem a cultura da sua vinha e a produção dos seus vinhos. Reguengos de Monsaraz apresenta um elevado potencial na vitivinicultura devido a: qualidade dos seus produtos; pelos processos produtivos utilizados; elevado nível de conhecimentos dos seus principais produtores e por serem líderes no mercado das exportações. Assim, o setor vitivinícola apresenta uma grande importância económica para a região do Alentejo devido à dimensão do cultivo dedicado à vinha; pelos valores gerados da produção, comercialização, volume de negócios e principalmente por ser um setor gerador de emprego e riqueza para o Alentejo.The wine sector has undergone a big transformation in the region of Alentejo.
