It is intended to analyse the concept of trafficking in human beings in conjunction with international legal instruments, exposing the profile of the victims and the cycle of the trafficking of persons. Analyse the Portuguese system in the criminalization of human trafficking, namely, in the analysis of art. 160º C.P, with the analysis of jurisprudence. It exposes the system of support and assistance to victims of trafficking and the articulation between various organizations. Finally, the main problems are analysed, and some solutions are exposed in the fight against trafficking in human beings.Na presente dissertação o objecto de estudo é o crime de tráfico humano para exploração sexual. Pretende-se analisar o conceito de tráfico de seres humanos em articulação com os instrumentos jurídicos internacionais, expor o perfil das vítimas e o ciclo de funcionamento do tráfico de pessoas. Analisa-se o sistema português quanto à criminalização do tráfico humano, nomeadamente o art. 160º do Código Penal Português, bem como alguma jurisprudência. Expõe-se o sistema de apoio e assistência às vítimas de tráfico e a articulação entre várias instituições.
