It was conducted following an on-site experience in a seasonal hotel on a Mediterranean island. The outcomes of this work can be used as a teaching tool to deliver hotel management concepts and to stimulate the development of innovative solutions. This work revealed that there are minimal efforts to implement innovation in the industry, so the proposed strategies can be useful to mitigate the challenges that hospitality faces.engHospitalityTourismService managementSeasonalityPre-openingOpeningClosingStrategyInnovationHotelMediterranean IslandChain standardsHotel managementHuman resourcesTrainingTalent retentionAncillaryRevenue managementOpening of a chain hotel in a Mediterranean Island: case study of challenges and strategies for the future of a seasonal hotelmaster thesis203318021
