European regulations pressure EDPD to shift away from fossil energies to renewable energy sources. Therefore, EDPD thinks about introducing a PV-coupled battery storage system in their service building in Evora in order to increase its efficiency. Although the developed model shows that this project is not viable from a financial viewpoint, other aspects such as the learning opportunities would support such a pilot. Furthermore, input prices are expected to decrease over the next years, making battery storage systems a viable solution in the near future. The project is assessed from the more theoretical point of view of ecoinnovation and what key drivers motivate companies to engage in environmental friendly innovations.engEco-innovationBattery storage systemBuilding efficiencyEco-innovations in companies - The case of introducing a battery storage system at EDPmaster thesis201531852
