Using a gamified simulation, 43 participants from Nova SBE’s Algorithmic Governance course were randomly assigned to a control group (no AI assistance) or an experimental group (AI-assisted). Through a randomised controlled trial, the study examined decision patterns, the influence of AI interaction, and the effectiveness of gamification in capturing political decision-making. Results revealed no statistically significant influence of AI on political attitudes, highlighting the stability of political beliefs and the potential of gamification as a methodological framework for future research.engArtificial IntelligenceGovernancePolitical decision makingGamificationChatbotArtificial Intelligence as a political actor: an experimental governance game approachmaster thesis203960572
