Businesses are always being forced to adapt to change, they must ensure measures are in place to effectively respond to these changes and be able to quickly implement solutions. The paper suggests and explains the philosophy of lean management as an enabler for an organization’s change readiness. Lean management is considered an effective way in order to become a quickly evolved, agile and self-learning organization. The work project elaborates critical success factors for introducing change and lean management. A practical example of a German medium-sized engineering company, at which the author was employed, is used to exemplify the introduction of a company-wide change process as well as the implementation of lean management.
