Djitu Tem Ku Tem: Formação Docente e Currículo da Escola Nacional de Musica José Carlos Schwarz em Bissau

Abstract

O relatório de estágio que apresento refere o trabalho que realizei em Bissau, Guiné-Bissau, entre setembro e junho de 2023, com o objetivo de formar professores para o ensino da música no país, na sequência de uma iniciativa bilateral entre o governo da Guiné e a escola de música por ele selecionada em Portugal para o efeito. Caracteriza as instituições envolvidas: o Centro Cultural Português em Bissau, a entidade acolhedora, no âmbito da parceria entre o Conservatório do Bomfim, em Braga, e a Secretaria da Cultura da Guiné-Bissau, e refere a ação por mim desenvolvida no respetivo estágio. Tece depois, de modo resumido, a partir do que a experiência me sugeriu, perspetivas precisas, com fundamento teórico no âmbito da etnomusicologia, a propósito do contexto caracterizador da fundação da Escola Nacional de Música José Carlos Schwarz em Bissau durante o ano letivo de 2022/2023. Enquadradas pelas competências para o século XXI, são quatro as perspetivas que aponto para reflexão neste contexto: (1) Pensamento crítico; (2) Criatividade; (3) Colaboração e (4) Comunicação. O contexto etnomusicológico em que enquadrei o estágio e este relatório sublinha a componente metodológica do desenho emergente na etnografia colaborativa. Nela, refiro ajustes que sucessivamente se verificaram e marcos de passagem no trabalho desenvolvido tanto no campo letivo como no terreno performativo. Para melhor reportar a minha ação nos setores da formação de professores e na construção curricular apresento depois os principais problemas teóricos e metodológicos com que deparei assim como as principais opções adotadas para os resolver. Concentro-me, finalmente, numa componente reflexiva na conclusão deste relatório, baseada no feedback recolhido acerca do projeto escolar desenvolvido, enquanto apreciação das tarefas realizadas no meu estágio.

The report on the internship that I’m presenting regards the work I accomplished in Bissau, Guiné, between September and June of 2023, with the aim of training teachers to teach music in the country, following a bilateral initiative between the Government of Guiné and the music school it selected in Portugal for this purpose. Characterize the institutions involved: the Portuguese Cultural Center, in Bissau, the welcoming entity, within the scope of the partnership between Conservatório Bomfim, in Braga, and the Cabinet of Culture of Guiné Bissau, and refers to the action I developed in the respective internship. Later explains, in summary, based on what experience suggested to me, precise perspectives, with theoretical foundation, within the sphere of ethnomusicology, regarding the characterizing context of the creation of the National School of Music José Carlos Schwarz in Bissau during the school year of 2022/2023. Framed by 21st Century Skills there are four perspectives that I point out for reflection in this context: (1) Critical thinking; (2) Creativity; (3) Cooperation; (4) Communication. The context of ethnomusicology in which I framed the internship, and this report outlines the methodological component of emerging design in collaborative ethnography. In it, I refer to adjustments that have successively occurred and passing remarks on the work developed both in the academic field and in the performative field. To better report my action in the sectors of training professors and curriculum construction I present the main theoretical and methodological issues with which I came across, as well as the main options adopted to resolve them. Lastly, I focus on a reflective component in this report’s conclusion, based on the feedback gathered on the developed school project, as an appraisal of the tasks carried out throughout my internship.
